Dreams Do Come True!-Lunch with Coach Cass InspireMany.com

What Coach Cass on TV??

Seriously family,  I have dreamed for over a decade about hosting a TV show.  Wondering what it would be on? What would I say? What would I do?  Just knowing that I love educating and speaking to others, I knew that is something that I love to do. I dreamed of a travel show, traveling to different islands, eating the food, meeting the people.  And BAM right on my lap, dropped FISCALLY FIT.

Fiscally Fit is a show created by a non-profit Scholars Today, Leaders Tomorrow to educate Blacks in South Florida about their finances.  Something that I take very seriously and have seen hurt so many people. Actually as the last luncheon of the 2010 summer series was coming to a close, a good friend Benjamin Dixon, asked me where does one get all of this financial education?  I spoke on saving, budgeting, and planning.  Sometimes you don't realize that what you know, may really help and enlighten others.

Here it is almost exactly one year later, I have the opportunity to co-host a show on finances!  EXCITING! Yes it is!

Really all I am saying is:

Believe in yourself, Focus on What you Want, and Everything Really Does Fall in Place.

So Blessed.

I just had to share.

Much love & Many Blessings,
Coach Cass

Less sleep can drive you Crazy! -Morning Tea with Coach Cass- InspireMany.com

Good morning family!

Waking up this morning I am so thankful to be alive!  Listening to the waves crash (via youtube meditation music ;)...starting my day reflecting.

Did you know that getting enough sleep has a huge effect on your health and attitude?

Think about it, if you are sleep deprived (meaning less than 6 hours):
-become irritable
-snappy
-less productive
-increased chances of high blood pressure
-increased chances of diabetes
-increased chances of hypertension
-triggers seizures

"Experts say that if you feel drowsy during the day, even during boring activities, you haven't had enough sleep. If you routinely fall asleep within 5 minutes of lying down, you probably have severe sleep deprivation, possibly even a sleep disorder."

Sleep deprivation can also cause car crashes : The National Sleep Foundation says that if you have trouble keeping your eyes focused, if you can't stop yawning, or if you can't remember driving the last few miles, you are probably too drowsy to drive safely.

In today's society, we are concerned with "making money" and "going hard in the paint". Long days, early morning, trying to provide for family.  But where is the balance?

Sleep is needed to regenerate your organs, brain cells, helps you to look and feel better.  Think about it, for those of us who are concerned about our skin and wrinkles.  Sleep helps you look younger.  Natural Bags begone? Get 7 hours of sleep!

Studies have shown that your brain begins to shut down when deprived of sleep.  Not getting enough sleep can drive you crazy! Isnt that scary?" Extreme sleep deprivation can lead to a seemingly psychotic state of paranoia and hallucinations in otherwise healthy people, and disrupted sleep can trigger episodes of mania (agitation and hyperactivity) in people with manic depression."

Benefits of sleeping 7 hours
- well-rested
- proven to increase happiness
- overall health improves
-feel good

These are just a few, but sleeping for 7 hours has been proven to help people lose weight, improve brain function, and relationships!  Try it:

Here are a few ways to get a good night's sleep:

-Create a routine: try to go to sleep at the same time every night and wake at the same time every morning. YES, even on weekends.

- Meditate before going to sleep: meditation is proven method of relaxation to calm the worries and fears.

-Exercise 20-30 minutes a day:  make sure not within 5 hours of bedtime

- Drink hot tea....I'm Jamaican, so you already know: Mint tea!

-Remove all "work" related items from your bedroom.  Make the bedroom a place for sleep and sex.  Everything else, move elsewhere.  Watch the change!

Ok ok...have to get started with my day.  Thanks for tuning in.

Much love and Many Blessings,

Coach Cass
