Inspire Many Missions Trip to Kenya, Africa

Aloha!

You are getting this update because you have expressed intent of joining me, Coach Cass, on a missions Trip to Kenya, Africa.

Last February, I had two good friends who are married. Decide to give everything up to go to Africa to become Missionaries.

I always dreamed of visiting Africa, but I didnt know when and for what. I wanted there to be a purpose.

So I was led to tell them, Hey if you are still in Africa next February, Ill be there to help out. WE ARE GOING TO AFRICA!

So here it is family. I thought it was robbery if I went by myself. So I am opening this opportunity to have a select few to join me on this mission.

Today I spoke to the leaders ,Rev Sonji and Rev. Sonia, of the Park Ministries - Kenya. We almost jumped on Skype this morning at 5am! WHOA! But I had to request 7 :) ((Rubbing eyes and stretching))

Turns out they are coming back at the end of February to the states to raise money for land to start a SOS children's village in Africa. WOW! I love SOS Children's village.

So after an hour of conversation...here is the synopsis:

So these are the dates we are working on. Thursday ,Jan 31- Thursday Feb 14th. Happy Valentine's Day

We would arrive on Thursday, rest and explore a little on Friday.

Saturday morning- we would speak with refugee women from Sudan and Ethiopia

Sunday- we would accompany my friends (the married couple) to one of the churches they have planted there to see what they do.

Monday- we would go through a prep training for the rural experience ( what to expect, what we will encounter, to take away the shock factor)

Tuesday -we would leave for a rural village, Isiolo.

We would stay in 5 star hotel **according to Kenyans....probably a 2 star for us. Hey its a bed and hot water. Breakfast included.

We would help out in the village for approximately 5 day and take part on Sunday in their church service ...just to see how they worship in rural Africa.

There will be translator at each site to help.

When we get back ...we would rest and the next day go to a boys detention center where they pick up street kids. The men on the trip can play soccer and evangelize the manly way.

Also we would help with life skill activities.

Last but not least if time remaining we would have a safari experience with one big family dinner. Then going to the big Nairobi marketplace to shop.

Then...guess what...back on the plane February 14th...coming on back home.

Questions?

Cost:

We are looking at most $3000. Including place to stay, meals, transportation, and safari.

Ladies: in rural Africa, please wear long skirt and roundneck long sleeve/ short sleeve shirts. Things are much more traditional there.

In Nairobi, it's a city. So normal wear but nothing to revealing. Meaning no cracks showing please ;).

What I bring to give?

I have been told each child is given 1 pencil for the entire school year. So we would like to bring at least 2 suitcases full of pencils. They also need 1 subject notebooks, crayons, childrens' books, coloring books.
Latex gloves for women helping in childbirth.

I've gone to church but I have no clue about evangelizing or missionary work:

If you have a heart that loves God and you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour you are welcome to be apart of this missions trip.

The beautiful ladies from Park Ministries - Kenya will walk us through the simplicity of having a conversation of how God has been good to you and sharing this experience. Believe me...this will be LIFE CHANGING! Expect the best and it will be the best. once again this is very simple travel. meaning no a/c, bumpy roads, and a servant attitude. Very important that you keep that in mind. You have never traveled like this and there will never be another opportunity like this one. I encourage you to make the sacrifice to come after you pray about it.

Mandatory Reading: These books will help you to understand the work of a Christian. and is recommended by Sonia.

5 Tips for taping a television show!

If you ever catch yourself getting ready for a tv show and you have no clue what to do. Use these tips as a start of what to wear on tv and how to prep.

5 Tips for the host/ guest on a television show:

1.Grooming- its important to take care of the necessities:
Nails- no chipped polish, make sure clean and filed
Hair- you know your hair best. Ask if hair stylist will be on set but prep your hair just in case. Not everyone will know what to do.
Makeup-Men and women need makeup! Make sure to bring the basics: foundation/ powder. Ladies bring your favorite lipstick, mascara, lipgloss. Important to be prepared. Makeup may be late, may not have what you need, or you may not like what they do. At the end of the day YOU are the one on tv!
Clothing- Solid Colors, no white/ checkered/ stripes. Films better. Bright colors come out the best.

2.Presence
Eat- make sure to eat something before the show and bring easy snacks. Show time may be delayed and anything can happen.

Listen to your favorite music. Get pumped up. Talk to your favorite person. Get in a good mood. High energy and positive energy are contagious.

Get rest. Make sure to get rest the night before. Makeup can help but let's help the makeup!

3. Ask questions
If you are confused about anything ask a question. Remember you will be on tv so you want to be comfortable.

4. Bring a friend
This person can give you the extra look over. Also they can take behind the scene pictures! This is important for your records and self promotion.

5.Have fun!
Be yourself and smile!!

Hope this helped!

Sex 4-6 times a Week? 29 years of marriage? SAY WHAT?

Interviewee: " Yea, thats right. We have 9 kids. Been married 29 years.  And we have sex 4-6 times a week!"

Coach Cass: Are you serious?!?!

According to the Kinsey Institute, this couple would fall into 1% of couples in their category. WHOA.

This is a snippet from the conversation we had with couple number 8.  A married couple out of a small town in Oklahoma.  Met during college, broke up because he was dealing with feeling of homosexuality.  Years later, the husband decided....((you'll have to read that part in the book))

They were married and have been married for 29 years!  9 kids, 1 set of twins.

Date night every Thursday and SEX 4-6 times a week!

You never thought this was possible in marriage/ relationships ???

What are your questions for this married couple?

Did you cheat? After 47 years of marriage...

"Never looked at it like that... Never found a relationship to justify that sort of thing." says a husband of 47 years.

Our 6th interview... A man never thought about cheating... Say what???

"Yes, my wife and I share interests, respect each other and communicate every day. We start each day talking. If sex is the most important thing in marriage, that's a lousy marriage."

What are your thoughts family?

Interview 4: Would you still get married?

Hey family! I'm seeking feedback on these interviews to make apart of my next book on marriage. No I'm not married. My co-author and I are interviewing 100 couples who have been married over 20 years to get the real deal on sticking it through.

So the last interview was shocking.
Could you imagine meeting someone of a different race in college... Knowing this is the person you wanted to be with, but because of your race. Your family forbid you to get married. Therefore you walk away.... For 20 years. Find a "filler" marry that person. Even start a family... Just to be reunited 20 years later and it's as if not a Day had passed by. But this time around something is wrong ... The Love of your Life says: I have multiple sclerosis. And multiple sclerosis is a degenerative disease that the future is only dismal and you know that your hunny will eventually become a vegetable. Would you still marry that person?

Waiting for your feedback,
Many blessings,

30 Years of Marriage tells it all!

Wow we had our 3rd interview ... This couple was something that you hear out of a storybook.

2 kids, in business together, family dinner with extended fam on Fridays, all other days Sitting around the table.

I spoke to the husband and after our hour of speaking about the real deal in his 30 years of marriage , these are the keys of marriage advice that he shared about being happy:
- never go to sleep angry : wait a sec! Are you serious?? But what it I'm sleepy? " if you go to sleep angry, you will wake up angry. So you might as well resolve it then."
- "I'm never alone with another woman unless for business." wow that's discipline! "yea keeps me out of trouble.. I also don't talk to women on the phone."
-"build up your money, before you have kids... It'll save you a lot of problems." this one hit me bc I truly agree. Think about it, the average kid costs $250,000 to raise. Any other major purchase, most people prep for. But the problem is they prep for the wedding day costs but not the marriage.

Everything in perspective, I hope this marriage veteran's insight inspired you. B/c he sure did inspire me.

Love,

Marriage advice:It's impossible to love 24hrs a day

Wow we completed our second interview! What a rush! Did I tell you??? Me, Casandra "Coach Cass" Roache and Kaira Carter are interviewing 100 couples who have been married for over 20 years.(for our book) And we finished couple number 2!!!

Ann and Tom from Texas have been married for 45 years! Say what!?! I learned so much. I'll give you the main takeaway;;;

"You can't love someone 24 hours a day. So when you don't love them, give yourself permission to feel that way because tomorrow is a new day and you will love them again."

Powerful stuff! Can't wait for the next interview! Stay tuned.

The Art of People Watching Memorial Day Weekend

Hi my name is Coach Cass and I love people watching!

So yesterday I was in the airport ( one of the top 5 places to people watch)...

Wow people from all walks of life. Black, white, puerto rican, Haitian, going coming! Exciting!

Tips on people watching:

Take quick glances.
Make up a story of where the person or family may be going.
Hypothesize where they may be coming from.
If their mouths are moving make a new movie of what your prospects are talking about.

People watching tickets:
No Staring!
No interaction!

This memorial day weekend is Perfect to people watch. It's a good idea to have a comfy chair, shades, and an ice cold beverage.

For our next coaching session share what you saw and the stories you wrote! ;) shoot share them here! Take pics have fun! I'd love to see too wherever you are in the world Miami beach to Germany!

Much love and Happy Memorial Day!
Coach Cass

Forgive Yourself

Have you ever thought about a situation in your past and thought " stupid stupid stupid!" been there done that. As a life coach, I choose to give my self the same challenges I give my clients. Whoa Forgiveness! Or Forgive mess. Whatever you want to call it..

Relationships, financial decisions, weight gain, choices made... What do you regret? Who do you blame?

I came up with a few instances where I still got angry thinking about them. Also afraid if someone found out... But I came to place where I realized "Cass that's your past" I am no longer the same person. I've made my mistakes. I choose to forgive myself and let go. What! Amazing!

Just imagine all of the shame that you have from your past or anger or hurt ... You were standing in an empty stadium and you put all of these feelings and experiences in a jar in the middle of the field.

The jar was too heavy for you to carry it, so a crane came in and carried it for you. It not only carried it out of the stadium but dropped it into and incinerator.

You were able to walk out of the stadium with your held high. No longer looking for an expert but excited to explore the new you! Forgiving yourself and moving on.

I challenge you!

Let me know how it goes,
Love Coach Cass

Car overheats? Life breaks down? Get up and Do something!

Have you ever seen this in your car? The gauge moving and increasing in temperature? I have....several years ago...I watched that gauge increase all the time. Thinking one day just one day...I'll be sure to get this fixed.  It was a sunny Friday afternoon and I was driving on the turnpike.  Saying to myself, for sure tomorrow I will take this car to the mechanic.  Just at that moment, there was smoke coming from the engine...What!  And the car was slowing down. WHAT!  I know nothing about cars...what to do!  I tried to drive off the exit and ended up in the grass in the middle.  The car's head gasket blew!  If you dont know what that means...It means spend several thousands of dollars of get a new car and just leave that one there....:( sad times...why? Because I didnt act when i first noticed the problem.

4 years later:::::

Wow! So yesterday I was on my way out and started to smell something burning ...what in the WORLD!?!  The engine quickly went from Cold to Hot! Stop...Hammertime...haha no...time to turn around and go back home.  I give thanks that I have access to two cars. So I was able to jump in my other car and get to my destination.

Fast forward to this morning, decided to go ahead and get my oil changed and coolant looked at. ((Not going to let what happned before...happen again))) The cost came out to twice the amount quoted but I am glad to get it fixed and one thing off my plate.

How many things are left pending on your "todo" list? You see your finances going into the red, Your weight slipping to the right on the scale, Your relationships sitting in quicksand.... TIME TO GET UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Let my first mistake be a lesson to you.  Its better to take care of it now vs later.

We including me can choose just to "drive the other car", take another route, jump over the clutter, lay down and watch tv..... thats easy.

But facing your long list and knocking things out!  Its liberating!

During Coaching sessions, I find that my clients are hesitant to approach certain issues.  Issues that have been sitting on the shelf for days, months, or years.  This can affect your health...there is an internal worry that affects your subconscious...it can affect your finances like mine were...thousands of dollars out of pocket because of delaying the inevitable...what do you do? GET UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

So as you read this post, write down three things you have been putting off and work on at least one of them today.  Believe me, you will feel great! let me know how it goes.

Much love & Many Blessings,
Coach Cass

Strategy Weekend!

Man I have been having fun!!  Jamaica, Puerto Rico twice, Texas on Deck next!  Wait a second!  I have a business to run!!!

Strategy weekend.  Gotta Focus.  One thing I understand is focused productive time is sooo much better than haphazardly trying to get your goals done.  Knock it out!  This weekend...Ill be in the house... Laying out the next phase of how I can coach people to grow their businesses, relationships, and lifestyle .  Started out with an interview for my next book!  So excited!

Create a Lifestyle!

One thing I have been good at is living life to the fullest. I remember when I thought I was going to move out of Florida 8 years ago... Thinking to myself "Cass you gotta get out an see this place. Start doing something different every weekend"..

So that weekend I went dancing to the Latin rhythms in Miami. Hearing the congo beat! What a place to be. And now I reflect on this past weekend. Enjoying the experience of hopping on a plane to Puerto Rico! Doing exactly what I tell my coaching clients to do "Live a Life You Love". Ending up on an adventure.... Walking along a trail in the El Yunque rainforest to a beautiful waterfall! Wow! 8 years later still creating a lifestyle of travel, music,Coaching, and food. Loving it!

This weekend? Relaxation and working on my next project. Get excited! It's Gunna be big!
