Great Morning Family!
Wow! Started off with a fabulous workout. Worked up a real sweat! OOooooo I feel good. Now for my Morning mint tea ;)
Ok today's Topic: EXPOSED!
Yesterday I had such a .... impactful, breathtaking, amazing, day filled with vision and what some would call "coincidences" but I call it God.
The morning started off with me ministering in dance at my church. ((sidenote: its such a blessing to be able to move my limbs!))... So when it came time for the sermon...I saw that we had a guest preacher. I wasnt the happiest just because I really just wanted to hear a word from our pastor. But I told myself that I would give him a chance.
...I am soooo happy that I did.
I'll give you the cliffnotes version. In mark 3, there was a man with a withered hand, a paralyzed hand, a messed up hand. Paralyzed means that you have it...but its just not working.
And all who were around were waiting to see what Jesus would do with this man.
In those days, if you had something wrong with your body, you would cover it up with your clothes. ..
So just imagine, a man with his 'messed up" hand, using his jacket to cover it.
Jesus said to the man and stretch out your hand...
Just imagine what this man was thinking! Can you imagine if someone "called out" your flaws in front of everyone family/friends, etc. ..how would you feel? What would you do?
The man listened to Jesus... he stood up... stretched out his hand and it was restored...
The blessing...the blessing was in the man being obedient to God no matter how uncomfortable it made him feel. And look because he listened the man with the "messed up" hand was healed.
Do you have something thats paralyzed/ just not working?
All of us have something that can be "exposed" or that we are not proud of. But are you just hiding it under your jacket... or are you facing it head on? You may have a "messed up" hand but understand that God is with you and He has your back but you have to listen to Him ... no matter how uncomfortable it may feel. You have to go through one level of exposure to experience another level of breakthrough. The pastor made an analogy of a rubber band. In order for a rubber band to be moved...it has to be stretched. Same thing with your life... you have to stretch in order to move! Embrace it!
So much wisdom was shared with me yesterday that I want to share with you...but this would not longer be Morning tea...but Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner!
There is a season of exposure and stretching but you will come out better than you already are.
Jesus healed a man who didn't ask for a blessing. He was proving a point to the spectators!
When the world uses you- you get hurt....but when God uses you...you get healed...
I truly hope this message blesses you as it blessed me.
Challenge:
Look within yourself, what are you not proud of...what are you hiding? Take a good look in the mirror and begin to work out it. Pray on it. Give it to God.
And I will do the same.
