Top ways to avoid Holiday Weight Gain!!!:Morning Tea with InspireMany

Oh my goodness!  Good morning Family!!!

Is it just me or is the end of the year fast approaching already!  What is going on????

I walked into a department store last week and spotted Santa!  Are you kidding?

I know the holidays bring much joy and anxiety!

You think of getting together with loved ones and the time you share but then also the 10-20 lbs that you may gain because of the unlimited availability of food!

I'll share 2 of the top 7 ways to maintain your weight during the holidays.

Yes...maintain your weight. I am a realist, I know its hard enough for you not to gain weight during this season so I won't touch weight loss.

With Halloween around the corner and the abundance of candy...

1: Everything in Moderation

Understand that too much of anything is bad.  Therefore everything in moderation is simple.  Instead of "helping" test your kids candy.  Limit yourself each day.  No more than 1 or 2 bit-size candies for the day. Same goes for desserts.  I know aunt Bev makes great rum cake ((yes, I'm Jamaican ;)), but understand that you don't have to each the whole thing yourself/ in one day.  Share the wealth, bring it to work, church, or other loved ones.

2. Eat before you leave the house
When it comes to the big dinners and holiday parties.  People tend not to eat.  They await the moment of the shindig to chow down!  Better mindset: Eat something before.  Especially since you don't know what time food will be served.  Make sure to each breakfast and lunch and even a light snack before going out to a dinner function.  This will help to curb your appetite.
